I’m still angry at the RNC for not supporting Trump when he was OUR pick. The Christians I knew were against him because they figured he wasn’t Christian. All of which really made me mad because President Trump was running for office on his own dime, his family was lovely, he actually said the things that needed to be said and he wasn’t a politician. He certainly didn’t need all this dangerous bother for him and his family. I just thank God he won despite the viciousness of our own party.
As a Christian, I was stunned by how ignorant and skeptical many of our fellow believers were. Trump consistently said things like Ill be the best friend the Christians ever had. and I will say Merry Christmas, not happy holidays. He said these type of things consistently, in different wordings, without a teleprompter or written speech. That told me he was speaking from his heart. He even told a group of Christian leaders that they should be the most powerful voting block but dont care or are too divided.
Christians came out “bigly” for Trump. White evangelical voters voted for Donald Trump, 80-16 percent.
