It’s not just their leaders. Look at how disproportionately white their TV and movie stars are. You’d never see so many tall people with light eyes and/or hair, sharp noses, and thin, long faces looking around a regular Mexican city or in Mexican settlements in the US. Even their “diverse” characters are often still whiter than the average person on the street. They really elevate their own whites in Latin America without being explicit about it, while often resenting “Anglo” ones.

It would seem that a lot of FREEPers on this thread agree with Che. Maybe, instead of vilifying him, we should adopt him as a symbol of Free Republic. /s
Che worship is a pretty reliable indicator of just how much reality any particular adherent is willing to ignore. There is that attraction to fantasy worlds that is an integral part of the Left, and the Che The Romantic Hero mythos has it in abundance.
As for Mexico, they elected to be the next Venezuela. Misery and starvation awaits them.

It’s unbelievable how many people, including Hollywood idiots, run around wearing his (CHe’s) T shirts exc.... and have no clue about what he did, or who he really was.
Another Hispanic icon, Caesar Chavez of union farmworker notoriety, was a strong opponent of illegal immigration, since greater supply of laborers, drove wages down for the workers he sought to help.
