I think it is spelled Faux-a-Haunt-Us.

While I believe Elizabeth Warren's claim to Cherokee ancestry is entirely bogus, a DNA test would not be a fool-proof way to determine the truth. If you go back several generations you have ancestors from whom you have inherited no DNA--but you would not exist if they had never lived. Re: Lyin Lizzie's DNA
You can be sure of two things:
The first is that Warren has already had a DNA test performed but in a stealthy way.
Probably under an assumed name.
The second is that the results do not back her claim of Cherokee heritage.
If the results did back her claim she would have had a second, aboveboard, test made under her own name and made the results public to shut down her critics.

I don’t even see why it matters if she has a bit of Cherokee blood, the unspoken significance of this claim is that it makes her better. Isn’t that just plain racism whether true or not?

It’s just like that idiot cher who IIRC at one point claimed to be Indian because of her “high cheek bones”.
My wife is 25% Cherokee and thinks warren is full of crap.

Squaw SpeakingBull is much of a Cherokee, as a Jeep Cherokee is. If Squaw SpeakingBull can claim Cherokee, I'm going to declare that I'm Vulcan. 😀

Yup. A middle aged, post menopausal blond haired, blue eyed, white grandmother is a Cherokee Indian. Yup. Works for me.

In my experience, if you do have indian blood identifiable from known relatives, the tendency in Texas at least, has always been to claim Cherokee ancestry. In my case my relatives actually are Choctaw, but we were always told they were Cherokee. Everyone wants to be Cherokee cause they were the coolest tribe! So right off, claims of Cherokee blood are suspect to me.
BTW, I've had the dna test and it came up zero indian. Turns out your random dna can completely miss something like that.
