Ultimately one has to ask, how powerful is God. The answer should be, more powerful than the devil.
If this is the anvil that is raised and against which the left must “hammer in the morning, hammer in the evening, all over this land” then we could do way way worse. Anything in which the Lord is seriously brought into will prosper.
Pagan religions promote their god as being the most powerful.
This is not the argument of scripture, and should not be the argument of Christians.
The argument of Christians and scripture is simply this, and it is not an issue of who is more powerful: Satan is God’s enemy. He was rendered POWERLESS at Calvary, through the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. He is a defeated, conquered, powerless foe, huffing and puffing lies, for he knows his manifest end is soon.
But Satan’s powerlessness was demonstrated through our Lord Jesus before the cross in His earthly ministry.
To say God is simply more powerful than Satan (I hear this too often), is a pagan argument, that is based on an assumption that Satan has power.
He has none. The kingdom of God and the church are to demonstrate that.
