Time was, once,when they would just admit to being a COMMIE. But this different shades of RED, is weird. Just as the Nazis were the other head of the same coin as Commies.
Because Socialist, Communist and Liberal are seen as pejoratives, the left merely uses labels like “Progressive” (which curiously was the name of the pro-Soviet party that split from the Democrats under ex-Vice President Henry Wallace in 1948) or “Social Justice” instead (which also was an old movement led by Father Charles Coughlin, who felt FDR wasn’t left-wing enough on economic issues and wanted hard-core socialist policies).
Because “Progressive” sounds nice and positive, they’ll use that rather than bluntly calling a spade a spade. Of course, SJ “warriors” are being viewed more negatively, so they may come up with another name for them (you could say “Antifa” an alternative name, albeit it is their more violent wing, since “Anti-Fascist” sounds good in theory. But again, it is utterly false, since these are terrorists. We’ve seen their ilk under Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin/Stalin, the Spanish “Republicans”, and the French “Revolutionaries.”).
The left has always had a serious problem being open and honest about what they are. It’s why they generally have to lie about it. One reason why I’ve always considered the left to have its origins from Satan himself. It’s just pure evil.
