How many Russians voted in our election?

How many Mexicans voted in our election?

Mexico has interfered in our elections more than any other country, but nobody ever wants to talk about that......

I’m convinced Carter is a ruse. Everything he does on TV is designed to feed into the narrative that he was a Trump advisor wronged by the FBI, but he could just as easily be an FBI plant who is simply trying to provide cover for himself by giving these interviews.

I have to ask what he was really doing in Moscow when he was the Merrill Lynch branch chief? That would be a good cover for a US spy. The moment he returns from Russia, he’s embroiled in a counter-intelligence investigation. Is that a coincidence? Then just when the FBI needs an insider in the Trump campaign, he appears out of nowhere.

Curiously, despite all the phony charges the Feds have brought against Trump insiders, he remains untouched.

I am sure they could have twisted his words to make it look like he was lying, if they wanted to. That’s what they did to Papadopoulos and Flynn. Carter doesn’t strike me as someone who could walk thru a minefield like that and emerge unscathed... unless the FBI wasn’t really trying to get him.

Britain has interfered more than any other country, especially before we got into both World Wars.

Carter Page was an FBI employee and witness prior to 2013.

He may be an FBI plant.

>>Mexico has interfered in our elections more

Plus the NYT’s is partially owned by Mexicans, right?
Also, since we’re worried about foreign meddling, what about so many arab counties, and china, and all the lobbying groups paid to get reps to go on TV and speak about things?

Marching in the streets waving mexican flags isn’t meddling? This whole “russia russia russia” thing is a joke.

He was not a Trump aide. He was a member of a low level advisory group.

I don’t think he was an FBI employee. At least not according to the official story. He was supposedly a cooperating witness. But I don’t believe that. In order to maintain his cover, they’ve got to claim that he was a cooperating witness.

I suspect they sent Page to Moscow in order to investigate the GPS claims. Then to test Steele, they asked Steele to see if he could confirm that Page met with Russian officials when he was in Moscow. Of course, he did. Whether he got the story right is not clear. But I suspect the whole thing was a charade, despite what the FBI has led the public to believe.

They probably got the warrant against Page not because they wanted to monitor Page, but rather because they wanted to monitor people calling Page. The warrant was a cover.

How you prove all this is problematic. But I suspect the FBI is desperate to make sure it does not become known, for a lot of reasons.

I suspect you are correct.

1) We know that he worked for and with the FBI prior to the Trump (fake) investigation;

2) The media is at great pains to describe him as an idiot and buffoon. His background is not really consistent with that IMO. He is a Naval Academy grad with an MBA from NYU. The main reason he is ridiculed is for supposedly “pro-Putin” viewpoints. I have seen nothing substantive that suggests he is goofy or strange.

The DOJ is still stonewalling on how the investigation started and details about the FISA applications. So we do not really know how they used Page. But it sure sounds as if they described their own operative as a Russian spy in order to justify the early stages of their anti-Trump election meddling and then coup plot.

He may be an FBI plant.

That has been my take all along. His reaction to the FISA warrant has been strange. No anger or outrage. Page plays like he is some naive fool, which doesn't comport with his resume. IMO Page agreed to have the FISA warrant placed on him and then he initiated his contacts with the Trump team to broaden the monitoring.
