At this point in our Country’s history, I only care about two things. The first is the 2nd Amendment. A 5th liberal to the court and a house win in November and we are not just screwed, we are totally screwed. The second is immigration.
The thought of unchecked illegal immigration, the crime that would come along with it and having an overturned 2nd Amendment scares me more than anything on this planet. Worrying about overturning Roe v Wade is so far down on the list of things to worry about right now.
I agree completely. The nominee’s abortion stance has to be a factor, but it can’t be the *only* factor, especially with the libs hell-bent on their social/cultural crusade against the foundations of the country itself.
Sad that you think we are so weak. We just had a Marxist President with both Houses of Congress under hyper-Leftists Pelosi and Reid. We survived.
We had 5 solid Liberals on The Bench for most of the 70s (Marshall, Brennan, Douglas/Stevens, Stewart, and White). In the 60s, it was mostly 7-2-0 (Liberals opposed by only centrists Clark and Harlan, and none on the Right). We survived.
Only the Senate gives Advise/Consent votes on Judges. Further, only the Senate can remove a sitting President. The House can only Impeach. Clinton was impeached, and stayed in office... And the Senate is likely to go +2 to +5 in NOV based on current polling. (Several big primaries next month could offer some surprises, though.)
Try to keep the hyperbole in check.
