Same here.

I tell my girls they'd best not come home with that graffiti on their bodies if they know whats best for them.

When my boys were teens I asked them if they would promise me that they would never get a tat or a piercing.

They promised me they would not and so far so good. It helps when you've maintained a good relationship with them.

But when they get out on their own, it's their house, their rules. With still a consideration for their parents wishes... hopefully. Kids do like to rebel.

FWIW, I'm not a huge proponent of tattoos. I have a few, mostly from back when I was a rebellious kid. A lot of our vets have tattoos. A lot of great folks I've known over the years have had them.
All I'm saying is that the presence of tattoos does not equal the presence of evil. Just as the lack of tattoos does not equal the lack of evil.

Just sayin'. d:^)
