Judge Kethledge rigorously enforces all laws as they are written, including the immigration laws. He knows that faithfully applying the Immigration and Nationality Act means respecting Congress's decision to give federal courts only a limited role in the immigration process.

In my view, and for the reasons you’ve mentioned, she’s what many would characterize as a loose cannon. And the fact that she is apparently a devout believer in what has become an extremely liberal RCC is a red flag. Moreover, her adoption of two Haitian children is the epitome of liberal virtue signaling. After all, there are thousands of orphans in the USA any one of which would have benefited by having a wealthy professional for a mother.

Many on the Court over the years have done likewise and turned out to be ideologues of the worst sort.

I’m also a Catholic and the fact that this Barrett woman is a devout Catholic despite the truth of your comments is a huge RED FLAG against her in my view.

He based his decision on Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians v. Patchak, and the Native Americans on tribal land or not are still citizens of the United States so the precedent seems inapplicable. Not that I would know, not being a lawyer.

This Barrett woman, in my view, is the judicial equivalent of a Congressional RINO, a stealthy Liberal masquerading as a Conservative. My reason for this conclusion is based on two red flags; (1) she’s said to be a devout Catholic, but the contemporary RCC is notoriously liberal; and (2) she has adopted two orphans from Haiti, a decision that is a quintessential example of “virtue signaling”. “Hey folks, look how progressively liberal I am. I adopted two little Haitian children.” Of course there are thousands of orphans right in in the USA, but . . . well you get the picture.

As a Catholic traditionalist who immediately rejected the heretical teachings of the Second Vatican Council, I am in total agreement with your statement. However, there are millions of pew sitters at Mass every Sunday who are NOT truly devout and faithful Catholics but are themselves modernists and globalists who are fully supportive of their apostate bishops and parish priests! SAD BUT TRUE.
Yeah, I can see that; I mean, I am not sure on the Catholic part because there are a ton of perfectly conservative Catholics despite the Pope and bishops being a horrendous mess; but I do see your point on the Haitian thing. Also, I think that among Catholics, the more politically conservative ones would tend to gravitate towards the traditional, old school liturgy (Latin Mass and so forth - as did Scalia) whereas she is a charismatic, ecumenical group which at least in Catholic circles would be associated with religious seriousness but not necessarily a conservative outlook.
She has demonstrated to my satisfaction that she is nothing more than a bought and paid for, open boarders,GOPE swamp whore.
I now regret purchasing some of her books about 20 years ago.
I did not know about the adoptions. Yes, while noble, there are mnay American children she could have picked.
The Catholics split 48-45 for Clinton in 2016. Yes, still too Liberal.
