Explaining my decision, I noted that Trumpkins “want to transform the GOP into a European-style nationalist party that opposes cuts in entitlement programs, believes in deportation of undocumented immigrants, white identity politics, protectionism and isolationism backed by hyper-macho threats to bomb the living daylights out of anyone who messes with us.

I don't believe Trumpkins want to oppose cuts in entitlement programs, and that they would be in favor of American identity politics over white identity politics. -Tom

Max Boot would have Trump become an American Bruning. Will never happen.

Trump isn’t pro-austerity. That would be political suicide. The welfare state was founded by Bismarck as answer to the Social Democrats program to socialize the German economy.

Maybe that’s what Boot wants for America. Thanks but no thanks .

In the comments here, I have not seen this phony Boot express one principle which would correlate to anyone’s understanding of what Republican is, much less a conservative. Everything he has expressed to be in support of, is a leftist principle or policy. Just what made him claim the lable of Republican or conservative in the first place? He sounds like an agent provacateur from the get-go.
