Christ Church Cathedral put up the display at their lawn on Monument Circle overnight. It shows statues of Mary, Joseph and Jesus in a cage.
“On our lawn tonight we placed The Holy Family…in #ICE detention,” the church wrote on its Twitter page.
The display has a sign saying #EveryFamilyIsHoly and its Spanish equivalent, #CadaFamiliaEsSagrada.
Church needs to stay the phuck out of political matters.....!
The laws of Man trump here and in the case of ILLEGAL immigration!!
Such a combination of religion and politics is the next step past everyone’s a Nazi. Then comes the rivers of blood.
There is a church in a neighboring town here in NJ that has a row of flags indicating their leftist credentials: Rainbow, ANC-type, Puerto Rican, and of course, the Episcopal Church.
With his own 30 ton air conditioning unit.
They were taxpayers.
Wait until they go after God for sending the Angel of Death during Passover - among His many crimes against Humanity.....the Church has been infiltrated by so many of Satan’s minions they may outnumber the truly God-centered....

There’s a Lutheran Church in Mesquite that looked interesting but then I noticed that week by week the messages on its signs leaned left. That saved me some time — not going to join that one!

According to that there ‘Bible’ book thingy—the Holy Family was traveling IN OBEDIANCE TO THE LAW.
Kinda like that “render unto Caesar” idea.
The whole thing happened within the Roman Empire, which made it possible to dispense with border hassles for a crucial period of history. This wouldn’t be like going from Guatemala to the USA; it would be like going from Georgia to Texas.

Not bold. Stupid. God told the Holy Family to go to Egypt. Most certainly He had a place reserved and probably work for Joseph. There was a huge Jewish community in Egypt. IT WAS NOT ILLEGAL. They were not sneaking in.
Churches were threatened about their tax status for speaking out against homosexual marriage but aren’t threatened over speaking on political issues like immigration.
I didn’t read article but maybe you are confusing when Joseph went to pay his taxes and Mary Gave birth with sometime after birth when God told Joseph to take Mary and Jesus and flee to Egypt because the king wanted to kill Jesus?
I think/hope the Church is referring to when Jesus and family fled to Egypt. But the church is wrong if they do not point out that the Holy family only stayed while an active threat on Jesus. Once King died they returned to Nazarath.
Alien to you for good reason. Right there's an example of a "church" that has no clue about loving the sinner but hating the sin.
They not only love the sinner, they're promoting the very sin of the sinner.
