I am currently a Utah Mormon. I wear those “magic “ underwear I DID NOT vote for Romney. I am disgusted he won. I am furious he will not support Pres Trump. IMO he’s more a democrap than anything else.
Looking from outside the Mormon community, it appears to me that there’s no way in the Mormon church government system to keep it from going way looie left like Mitt has. He’s a bishop and so what? Outside of bowing to the scripturally documented desires of God, that and five dollars gets a large coffee at Starbucks. The people who do resist that trend, do it by means of deference to the bible as primary source. Which is what all those “silly conservative Christians” have been trying to get everyone to hear in the first place.
