Late, I know. Just catching up. I have been watching this closely too. And I joined. I too see a whole lot of disgruntled liberals coming to some realizations. They are not exactly all "republicans" to say the least. Many are Trump supporters but also speak ill of the GOP. Oddly, this is not too far off the position of many true conservatives. I am not convinced the values are aligned yet. But if they drifted from Liberal to Libertarian, they are at least on the Freedom and Constitutional side of politics. It might take some time for them (if this gains more traction).
What I like most is the surprise they are finding in that they are being welcomed and not ridiculed. At the same time, their own former PC "friends" are condemning them for being traitors, furthering their enlightenment.
We'll see what becomes of this.

I’ve said early in 0bama’s administration that he was in fact the most transparent regarding his intentions to “transform” etc..
The left that supported him never paid enough attention to what 0bama was really talking about and the MSM would never explain it to them.
I think it’s these lies that this #walkaway movement is talking about. In addition, it’s the lies and the narrative the MSM/Dems have been painting of Conservatives that is being exposed to them.
The left runs a massive propaganda machine and has been for many many years and we can all agree on that. These Walk Away folks are finally realizing this.
I, for one, support their awakening and welcome them to their new journey for truth. Make no mistake, it is a long journey in which they have only taken the first step.
But it’s a step in the right direction. A step that, for many, has no return.
