not to mention, total BS that Sheriff will be “removed” simply because of criminal accusations ... in most states Sheriff can’t be “removed” even by the governor ...

Florida governors actually do have the power to remove sheriffs, even without criminal convictions. That doesn’t make the story about Scott ousting Sheriff Israel next week true. Political risk to Scott would be rather high unless he has massive, sure-fire evidence (maybe he does).
