In 2014, Flynn, then director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, personally intervened on behalf of Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz by writing a letter vouching for her on his official Pentagon stationary and offering to testify on her behalf. He also supported her case in a radio interview in 2015. Gritz had worked with the intelligence community for over a decade, helping them successfully track down global terrorists and rescue Western hostages. According to Circa, "she was even occasionally called upon to personally brief then-Director Robert Mueller on sensitive cases like the disappearance of a retired agent Robert Levinson inside Iran." But her stellar career suddenly hit the skids after she started working for McCabe and his leadership team. In 2012, she received her first negative rating after years of outstanding performance reviews and was eventually drummed out of her job. She initially filed an EEOC complaint against a handful of bureau executives. ABC News’ Brian Ross — who was suspended last year as chief investigative correspondent for a faulty report on Michael Flynn — is leaving the network, Page Six has exclusively learned. ABC suspended Ross last December for a month without pay for a botched report on ousted White House national security adviser Flynn that reported President Trump directed Flynn to make contact with Russian officials.
