“I even vaguely remember a Quonset hut in the late 60s”

When I was born in the late ‘40s, my parents lived in a Quonset hut. It was the parsonage for Dad’s first church. I think had been military housing of some sort.

Must have been World War II housing. The Navy was still using some in the 60s, because a roof’s a roof.
