Presidential pardon authority has noting to do with the Supreme Court.

“How is it that in our glorius country with 300 plus million people the absolute scum of the earth rise to political prominence?”

Because the franchise is not limited to married men who own property.

The answer to the hypothetical seems pretty straightforward. Since the Constitution doesn’t say that a president can’t pardon himself, he therefore can. If 2/3 of the Congress at that time thinks otherwise, they may impeach him. It’s not that complicated.

If the President had been convicted of something, he would not still be in Office so he wouldn’t have the possibility of granting a pardon, now would he, Maria?

The President has the power to pardon someone even for crimes for which that person has not yet been indicted, and for crimes which that person "may have committed."

Thus, the President could pardon himself for a crime which has, up until that point, not even been known to have occurred.

The scope of the President’s EXCLUSIVE pardon power is a nonjusticeable political question.

The remedy for abuse lies in Congress, not the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has nothing to do with it.

“I also believe that the pardon power extends even to state charges under the principal of federal supremacy.”

It does not.

My source of information is my memory, as I happened to be alive on Sept. 8, 1974, when Pres. Ford pardoned former Pres. Nixon for "any crimes he might have committed."

But in case my memory isn't "good" enough for a young whippersnapper like yourself:

A presidential pardon of Richard Nixon (Proclamation 4311 Wikisource has information on "Proclamation 4311" ) was issued on September 8, 1974, by President Gerald Ford, which granted his predecessor Richard Nixon a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes he might have committed against the United States while president. - Wikipedia

Note: If Ford had the power to do it for Nixon, then Nixon had the power to do it for himself.

Since the Constitution doesn’t say that a president can’t pardon himself, he therefore can.

You are confusing enumerated rights with enumerated powers.

Any rights not explicitly enumerated are still "in force." The same does not hold true for powers.

I, actually, remember Watergate, the resignation, and Pres. Ford’s pardon. Not specifics though.
I thought there might be wording somewhere, that describes what a president can do in a like situation.
Thanks for your insight.
