Those who would agree to the abolition of Immigration Control and Enforcement, do so out of ignorance of both the law and human nature. There is a certain segment of the population whose interest lies with defying the law, for either personal gain, or out of sheer cussedness of personality, thinking the law simply does not apply to themselves.
Authority at every level, of course, has to justify its existence, and its legitimacy, because without a strong sense of even-handed justice in application, the authority is soon corrupted, and spins out into tyranny and despotism.
There is a sense that the justice system is rapidly assuming a multi-level approach, in that what would be criminal by any objective standard, is waived or ignored for certain protected classes, whether is is for affirmative action, or simply too big to be held accountable. Worse, new categories of “crime” are constantly being introduced, to label opposition with an unrealistic standard of behavior, so as to further drive what had been pillars of belief into the underground and to hound them out of existence.
And that way lies in the direction of eventually assuming command-and-control, for the good of the majority, of course. The newly created minority is then saddled with all the ills of the entire society, and is punished as an example to future dissent.
How many of that 25% are okay with heckling administration people if they show up at a restaurant. How many of them get all wheepy waily about “separating the children”.
Half the 25% think they are talking about road ice...next they want to ban sleet and ahil.
