U.S. is ordered to reunite migrant families. Now what? (end game)

Here is the real endgame of this and they want a straight shot to a SCOTUS, while it is out of session:

Now, the Trump administration can either follow the order or attempt to stay the injunction and appeal to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

Asked on Wednesday if the administration would appeal, Trump said: "Well, we're going to see. But we believe that families should be together"

If the administration does appeal,...to the Supreme Court. ...court just ended its regular session ..., so the case would land in the hands of one justice — Justice Anthony Kennedy, who is assigned to the 9th Circuit.

On Wednesday afternoon, Kennedy announced he will retire at the end of next month.

This is why they made hay out of this all the sudden.

Their intent is to motivate the unconscious conscripts who are not paying attention to what is actually going on, get them to demonstrate, if a few people(racist, privileged, unconscious biased) are killed along the way that is progress and then get these people to the polls.

One look at their standard of conceit is the suit this week in California and a judge who ruled that the Trump administration must stop separating migrant families and quickly reunite those already split.

The Justice department argued there was no need for judicial remedy as President Trump had already issued an executive order rescinding the policy.

So why did the court make the order? It's a setup by a sympathetic judge, to enable the ACLU, LaRaza, Lawyer Moms of America and others to continue pursuing their end game, which would not be possible without this order.

So back to my excerpt above: Here is the real endgame of this and they want a straight shot to a SCOTUS, while it is out of session:

But this may also redound to our favor and the argument is, at that point, over.

But, the fun part for these jack azzes is the next part, which they will win

If the ruling stands and the Trump administration reunites the separated families, it's not yet clear where all those families would go.

Many of the separated parents are currently in detention facilities, where they could remain for months while waiting for their cases to be heard. Children, though, cannot stay in detention facilities for longer than 20 days under most circumstances, based on limits set in the 1997 Flores Settlement Agreement and subsequent court decisions.

The Justice Department has asked for that time limit to be extended so that families can remain together in detention while awaiting court appearances. The administration is also asking for an exemption from state licensing requirements for facilities holding families.

The case is now before Judge Dolly Gee in California, who previously set the 20-day limit for detaining children when President Barack Obama's administration tried to challenge the Flores Settlement.

If Gee denies the Justice Department's request, and if families must be reunited, then Trump would have no choice but to release the families under an ankle-monitor program or something similar,...

“That is exactly counter to the Trump policy," he said, referring to zero tolerance. "That would be a complete defeat” said Muzaffar Chishti, director of the Migration Policy Institute’s office at New York University School of Law."

Which is where they need to be.

They are committed to their Lawfare and need each of these successes to continue

Well, I admit utter ignorance of the complexity of the issue, but I’m not reading ‘permanently’ reunited. Kiddies go to parents in detention for up to 20 days, so parents know they are well, kiddies go elsewhere for a time, kiddies go back to detention for 20 days, etc.

Would that not check the boxes?

80% of this kids were smuggled in by Coyotes. The other 20 can be locked up with Mamma and Pappa and sent home together.

Put them all on the fast track home.

I’m waiting for all of the other criminals with children to sue. For instance, a woman found guilty of embezzlement to sue for being separated from her children.

Everyone is someone’s son or daughter, right? So if we snag anyone coming across illegally we do the proper humane thing and re-unite them with their family...in Mexico. I don’t care if they’re 25 years old or 50..the orders are to keep migrant families together dammit!

Wow. You’re a clever one. Maybe your idea would meet the legal requirements.....We shall see.

It is so frustrating that congress doesn’t just fix the freaking problem. Every major country in the world has immigration laws that are enforced without politics. What’s the big deal? I was someone who wasn’t big on a broader wall, but now that all the games the political left and the media play when it comes to legal enforcement procedures, it seems that we have little choice but to stop the problem....before it even begins with a wall.....unfortunately.

My analysis is:
The left won a political point by pressing the administration on family separation (even though Obama did it before him), but they misread the mood of the country if they think the preferable alternative is ‘catch and release.’ Most people don’t want that either. Trump has to articulate a policy that is neither family seperartion nor ‘catch and release.’ The easiest one to articulate is build a wall....which I guess is what he’s been doing. There are so many better ideas available thatn a wall though....but, the left won’t get on board with actual solutions so a wall is what we get I guess.

And so it has been said.

Why doesn’t he just say what Andrew Jackson said of a court order he did not like: Let the court enforce its order.

The court has ordered something that is very hard to do. Let them do it.

Why do we need to build more and more and more camps? Deport them immediately. Station the military at the border and don’t let anyone cross. Reunite them in Mexico.

Now what? You ignore it.

These evil pricks are clever and tireless I’ll give them that. Kennedy betrayed AZ when they wanted to defend thier borders. After the 3 conservative rulings in a row l think Kennedy would give left one on the way out. This must be avoided. We all see what this is please Mr. President don’t let them get away with it.

this from 2015 and the Obama Administraiton:

Homeland Security officials said they disagreed with Judge Gee’s overall findings, They argued, however, that the fine print of her order gave them leeway to continue holding mothers and children at the three detention centers, as long as officials were continuously working to move the migrants through their immigration proceedings and to reduce the time in detention for most families to no more than a few weeks.

How many soldiers or marshals does the Federal Judiciary have?

At last count - zero.

Trump should just “respectfully” disobey the Judges and push all the illegals onto buses back home.

The only possible response would be impeachment by Congress.

Impeachment? Really?

Four months before the midterm election GOP representatives are going to impeach Trump for defying Hard Left judges on the illegal immigration issue?

That would never happen.

And if Trump defied the judges before the 2020 election on the immigration issue, he would win reelection decisively.

Why doesn’t little Jeffrey B Sessions tell the Judge that she is out of her jurisdiction and that all immigration matters are handled by the Executive branch only as per SCOTUS?

See the quoted excerpt below regarding immigration. Don Willett was confirmed for the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals despite much noise from Democrats, and *he’s on Trump’s list of potential Supreme Court nominees.* Willett was confirmed 50-47 by the U.S. Senate. He was also endorsed by the Director of Gun Owners of America.

So the taxpayers are going to have to pay to send somebody down to Mexico or Guacamole to find their “loving families” and bring them up here? WTF?
