Not quite right. The author says he was born in 1953 so he should know better.
In 1978 the Leftist scientist were worrying about Global Cooling and a coming Ice Age.
But a few years latter the temperatures were obviously warming and they changed the name to Global Warming.
Only the name was changed the strategy still the same. Convince the public that man is causing the climate to change and we need to have control of everything so that we can stop it.
Remember the articles in PopSci or PopMech about global cooling and the schemes to spray the poles with black soot? That was in the early 70s. In the early 70s there were also concerns about the population of the country shrinking. Illegals and anchor babies have taken care of that and the average well being has plummeted. We are a nation now crowded by inferiority.
