I was just in the southwest corner of Missouri the other day. Was visiting my cousins in Arkansas and driving through a small, nothing, backwater town in Missouri we saw a Mexican woman with 3 young children trailing behind walking down the road. My cousin says....look, they’re everywhere.
Monett, Missouri is akin to most any Mexican town. The chicken producers brought them here. By the hundreds. They now have their own radio/TV stations. Newspapers. Celebrations/parades honoring Mexican Holidays. A community within a community.
