“If they started taxing all the remittance money, at a very generous rate, that would curtail some of it.”

Well and fine for Mr. Pence to tell the Northern Triangle nations, Guate, Sal and Honduras (did he forget Mexico?) to “do more to stem illegal immigration” and I’m sure they all responded with “YEAH Boss”! But he failed to get their attention. To get their undivided attention on immigration and follow-on issues of State, cease remittances.
Remittances are a very real lifeblood for families and businesses not only Down South but worldwide. Countries have no legal “Plan-B”. In the US, remittances are big business for banks as well as neighborhood stores who rely on the service as a draw for shoppers. On any given payday weekend, remittances also serve as substantial short-term investment money in motion.
Businesses providing remittance services presumably operate in a legal manner. The regulatory framework governing their operation are absurd. Remittances are also big money. In 2017, worldwide remittances totaled approximately $444B. Of that total, $76B (17%) was funneled to Latin America. So what regions received the remaining 83%?!

And I wonder how much of that money is actually from guys digging ditches, cutting grass or doing someone’s laundry. It’d be interesting to see how much of that money is coming directly from the checks that these people are getting from the taxpayer. It’s common that they’ll sell their EBT cards for actual cash. Well, if you have multiple people, in one house, getting EBT/SNAP every month, isn’t too hard to turn one of those cards into an ATM card that you use to fund the family back home.

And then you have them feeding their families back home as well .... https://nypost.com/2013/07/21/ny-food-stamp-recipients-are-shipping-welfare-funded-groceries-to-relatives-in-jamaica-dominican-republic-and-haiti/

Lots of people talk about the rebirth of Dearborn, Mich with all the muslims. What they don’t tell you is that the majority of money is given to them through all the refugee programs and obviously, through Birthright Citizenship, once they pop out a kid in a Detroit hospital. Then the family gets a tidal wave of benefits and cash. Add to that, that one man will have 4 or 5 wives, all collecting checks and benefits, who knows what that math is.

Not only are we funding illegals and fraudulent refugees here, we’re taking care of their families in their home countries. And RINOs like Ryan are more than happy to do it.

North of Atlanta, in the Cumming area, lots of companies have moved in to get away from the traffic in Atlanta. Using H1B visa’s they bring in a lot of tech folks from India. They show up with their ENTIRE family. Put their kids in school. But, what else do they do? They bring their parents over. In Georgia, once you hit 62, you’re exempt from school taxes, so they put the homes in their parents name. Thus, they put a few kids in the school for free. County finally caught on, but nothing was done to the families that were committing the fraud. They should have been given 30 minutes to pack as much shit as they could and put on plane with a, Never To Return Stamp in their passport.
