You can go down the list of alienated ‘consumers’ of the Democratic Party.
Based on the work of Diamond and Silk, and Kanye West....with negativity by Waters....I perceive that one ins six black voters might be walking permanently away from the Democratic Party.
Plain middle-class people from outside of urbanized areas, who were leaning Democrat for twenty years? I think they’ve seen enough to just laugh over the party and walk out.
You go to San Francisco and the whole of central California....lots of people asking questions that the state Democratic party can’t answer or resolve.
The Bernie-effect? It was a serious mistake of the Democrats to allow him to run in 2016, and give speeches under their banner. I suspect that 20-percent of the Democratic base...now wants a Bernie-agenda. Half of all Democrats won’t follow that lead.
Where exactly does this lead onto in 2020? I see a massive division occurring and 60-plus GOP senators easily achieved by then. Trump could replace four Justices in a eight year period, and probably finish the wall by the end of the eight years.
I think a major problem is with people who are basically non-political and low-information, and vote Democrat simply because their parents and grandparents and great-grandparents voted Democrat. There are millions of them out there.
