Yep. Too bad the Republicans in general are pretty squishy on immigration too or they could fully take advantage of it.
For example, pushing for full e-verify to protect American jobs from illegals is probably a winning issue with moderates, but the Republicans don’t want to upset the businesses who rely on that cheap labor, so they won’t do it.

Right now look what’s going on in sanctuary cities. If not all, the overwhelming majority are Dem cities run by Dems.
Specifically look at Portland, OR right now. Protesters have shut down the ICE building for 8 days and socialist mayor Ted Wheeler wouldn’t lift a finger nor let the Portland PD do a thing about it, finally today federal officers went in and made arrests.
Things like this should not be allowed to happen.
