I have been through Check Point Charlie, and saw the rather poignant statement “You are leaving the American sector.” I have been in the belly of the beast, in East Berlin, and seen Soviet tanks up close. I have watched Soviet Air Force war games. I don’t know for sure, but maybe you think the Soviets were there to protect the East Germans. I do not believe that for a second.
I don’t know if you are a 1st Timothy 5:8 type person or not. I certainly am not. This has nothing to do with turning the other cheek.
