What? There were no riots in Detroit and Watts? No SLA or Weather Underground? No bell tower shootings or postal workers gone postal? Son of Sam? Kent State? They were pretty tame by today’s standards. But so was the Kishinev pogrom compared to the Holocaust.

They were pretty tame by todays standards. But so was the Kishinev pogrom compared to the Holocaust.The reference was to the SCOTUS Roe V Wade ruling. Nobody rioted against abortion made legal in 1973. I say it was because only a handful of people who lived in the gutter and died ignominiously would ever be affected by abortion. That was the consensus back then.
