First thing they do is corrupt the language.

“When we talk about the word socialism, I think what it really means is just democratic participation in our economic dignity, and our economic, social, and racial dignity.”
What socialism really means is naiveté towards government.
Whether that is the cause or the effect of socialism’s cynicism towards society (which word they conflate with government) is immaterial to the fact that socialist are cynical towards society and naive towards government.
