The newly emboldened populist wave sweeping Europe has begun to clash with establishment EU "open border" advocates, as governments opposed to illegal mass migration dig their heels in and resist the influx of mostly North African migrants.
Europe has been sharply divided over asylum seekers - however words turned to action in early June when Italy's brand new Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini, closed Italian ports to Non-Government Organizations (NGO) ferrying migrants into the country. The rest of Italy's populist coalition government supported the move, fending off condemnation from "hypocritical" French President Emmanuel Macron and other EU leaders.
Perfectly capturing the current rift between populism and progressivism in Europe, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó got in a spat with BBC presenter Emily Maitlis on Monday while trying to explain why his country opposes an open-border policy.

Hungary has been invaded and taken over by a disparate groups of people since ancient times. The ancient Romans had a stab at it, but didn't stay long, the Huns took it over and had a gigantic impact, the old Ottoman Empire ( STINKING MUSLIMS ) took control and were finally sent packing, next up were the Hapsburgs ( who held on very tightly for a very long time ), followed by the damned Nazis, only to be immediately followed by the stinking USSR!
The Hungarians have yearned for freedom for centuries ( the Huns and Magyars more or less became one, so that invasion doesn't really count all that much ) and now that they finally have it, they are NOT about to give it all up! Having already once suffered under Muslim rule, the last thing any of them wants is to take in a horde of stinking African Muslims, who can't speak Hungarian, have less than no regard for the actual Hungarians, hold beliefs that are antithetical to the Judeo-Christian beliefs and culture that has survived ALL previous invasions, wars, and tyranies.
Three of those held in the HIGHEST ESTEEM, in Hungary's long history, are Saint Istvan ( St. Stephen ) and it's two FREEDOM poets and politician...Petofi and Kossuth.
The damned EU and stupid Brit BBCer are NOT going to win against any Hungarian!

Oh and lets not forget that the Austro-Hungarian Empire once had the Baltic states as part of it, because it was part of the Ottoman Empire and they sort of got stuck with it, but that was all gone and done with after WW I. There’s this odd layout to what Qaddafi did over the previous thirty-year period. He took oil profits and divided it into various sectors. Education, healthcare, and infrastructure all got chunks of money. Most Libyans were doing well.
Most Libyans would say that Qaddafi was a moderate nutcase. There’s some evidence that he was heavily medicated around-the-clock and you just never knew what Qaddafi you were getting today.
So when the various rebellions were staged throughout the Middle East in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012....various groups formed up and went into a anti-Qaddafi tirade, with the guy killed off. The PhD folks had to come and remark that he might have been the best dictator in the Middle East, but remarkably crazy.
As for the landscape after the execution? Well....the oil groups want stability. There’s a civil war brewing, with various groups trying to establish control. If you go and count ‘groups’, there’s a minimum of twenty mobs-in-waiting to continue the civil war. Some are pro-Islam....some pro-oil....some pro-Qaddafi folks supporting his son. In the middle of this....a bunch of Africans who’ve come to get on the smuggler deal and leave for the EU.
They see this immigration as a replay of the 1541 “trick” of trying to be visiting friends and then take over the land as the Turks did to the city of Buda.
Qaddafi was a troublemaker until Ronaldus Maximus bombed his house. After that he made no more trouble. He wasn’t that crazy.

Indeed. Qaddafi blew it when he ordered the army to shoot Libyans. 75% of the army deserted, raiding armories, on their trek back to their provinces to protect their homes and families.
There was actually a highly-spirited race among the various provinces on which one would capture Qaddafi first. The hunt for Qaddafi was widely publicized in the Israeli, Arab and rebel press and would make a great Hollywood movie.
