Curt is one awesome flame throwing pitcher, and a great American. Man, that guy was a stud on the bump. I remember the series he was bleeding out of the ankle area and still pitched through it. I’m not sure if there is anything to this story but I know the Shilling is pro-American, and I can dig that!!!!
The bloody sock is up there with Bobby Orr’s goal and Edleman’s Catch in Boston sports lore.
