Does that mean they go back to the pound currency?

They never lost it. They decimalized it 40 or so years ago, but they never bailed to the Euro.

Current exchange

1 Pound Stirling = 1.13 Euros = 1.32 US Dollars.

Old cays - halfpenny, penny, threepence, sixpence, shilling, florin, half crown, crown, half crown, sovereign.
Prices were quoted in Pounds, Shillings, and Pence.
12 Pence in a shilling, and 20 shillings (240 pence) in a pound.

Converted to a decimal system February 11, 1971.
