The key difference here is she refused Sara b/c Sara works for Trump.

A BIG difference than refusing to serve drunks or disorderly people.....which is her right.

In Virginia a business can refuse service, except for the following:

For the denial of services to be illegal discrimination, it must be based on someoneâs race; color; sex; national origin; marital status; religion; handicap or disability; the use, handling or training of a guide or support animal for disability; or relationship to a person with a disability.

So Angels27 is correct. The Red Hen owner could legally refuse to serve Sanders. That doesn't mean she should have refused service, that was just stupid on her part. She will have to reverse and apologize or rely on just libs for her business from now on. There are plenty of libs who will go there from DC, so that might work.

How many meals will the lib profs from W&L eat there upon return to classes in the fall? How many other libs in town will eat there several times a week?

Seems to me that even a concentrated effort to save 'lady Hen' might not be enough.

There are a lot of other eateries and even some lib folks are sure to be pissed about the bad reputation placed on the town.
