Rural areas will be the first place that the ‘smarter than average’ looter zombies will target. That's been disproven by decades of events. The zombies mostly want the nice malls, not some Dollar Store in West Bumf*ck.

I’m referring to them targeting personal homes way out in rural areas. That’s what I’d do with a gang of 6-10 heavily armed thugs because I’d be smart enough to know that the urban areas are too much trouble with all of the competition.
