After the liberal media went wild for a photoshopped Time magazine cover depicting President Trump looking down at a crying immigrant girl, it was exposed that the girl was not separated from her family after all. The magazine’s editor-in-chief, Edward Felsenthal appeared on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” on Sunday to defend his outlet’s deceptive and misleading cover. Meanwhile, host Brian Stelter was worried about right-wing media pouncing on the story.
“As soon as it was revealed through an interview with the child's father that the family had not been separated there was a really strong right-wing backlash to your cover, including from the Trump administration,” Stelter prefaced. “Did you make a mistake by having this crying girl on the cover?”
Felsenthal looked pasted the false narrative that he and the rest of the liberal media put around the photo and citied it’s viral nature for their selection of the girl. “Look, I think John Moore's photo was and will remain an iconic one. We chose the photo because this little girl became the face of this story on front pages and home pages and TV screens and Facebook feeds,” he argued.
“But maybe she shouldn't have been the face of this story if she wasn't separated from her mom,” Stelter pushed back.

Each and every Democrat running in swing districts must be defined as advocates of open borders. Their refusal to build the wall and their support of sanctuary cities and states must be made well known to the voters. Let them deny it but the voters must know the real consequences to America if the Democrats obtain power.
Why don’t the just cancel the cover and just replace it? maybe with a photo of Trump smiling?
And these are the guys criticizing all the complaints about “fake news”.
In that cover of the crying little brat, all I could imagine was a Verizon’s network commercial with hundreds of people standing behind her. Representing the descents she will welp and the ones she will bring in via chain immigration
Never let the truth get in the way of the agenda.
And everybody knows when somebody is 2 feet tall and squalling and crying you must immediately give them what they want. That’s parenting 101.
Just another reason for the audience to enthusiastically boo the media at Trump rallies before the elections.
I understand his reasoning. He has an unassailable faith that his position is an important truth. So he has a moral imperative to use whatever deceit necessary to turn a benighted public to that faith.
If you could manage to summon up a truckload or two of blind arrogance, you might imagine thinking that way, too.

They’re so-called “progressives” ... why should anyone ever expect a truth from them that isn’t self serving? All that’s changed is how subtle they are (or in this case aren’t).
When media defends faked crap its publishes, its time for that media to no longer be recognized as media.
