As a lifelong Iowan who is also an ex-Republican, I learned a long time ago that Bob VanderPlaatz is a perennial second-string wannabee kingmaker who has a reverse Midas’ touch.

I know Plaats very well and he’s been trying desperately lately to draw attention to himself. Things must be bad and he needs the donations. This guy has lost it. I grieve as there are good people working with him.

No, he does not but he is representative of the feckless wing of the GOP in these past few decades. Flake, Rubio, Burr, Corker, Romney, McCain, Collins, are just a few of the current examples. The list of gutless, non performing GOP “leaders” is very long.
According to his Wiki Page, "ABC News reported that Vander Plaats had solicited up to a million dollars from Santorum and other candidates in exchange for his endorsement, that he and Santorum had discussed the subject of money when negotiating the endorsement, and that he had tried to get Michele Bachmann of Minnesota to drop out of the race."

Since these Latino gangs are very violent and very racist, I don’t see a problem with Huckabee’s tweet at all. I do have a problem with Pelosi’s support of illegal immigration.
I would not call any one of those a leader.

I wouldn’t call BVP a swamp creature as he’s hanging out there all by himself trying to get as much publicity as he can. I would think he would be smarter than this but apparently not.
Who is this “conservative leader” because he sure as hell isn’t my leader. This leader is a deep state agent who was activated to create confusion and apathy - not buying it.
