If you mean by “illegal weapons” firearms legally purchased but later “outlawed” by liberal legislation bent on subverting the basic rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights in general and the 2nd Amendment in particular I think you’d ne wrong.
The 2nd A recognizes my human right to self defense from those including an overbearing government that mean me harm. I don’t believe many law enforcement officers would risk their lives denying citizens exercising their rights. In essence, busting in doors would result in most defending their Rights. I would else I’d become a slave to the whims of government. Malon Labe has been the catch phrase for freemen everywhere for millennia even unto todays modern world!
I’m using “illegal weapons” in the Progressive’s dictatorial sense of the term. That is anything that they construe to be a weapon, even pointed sticks or words, in the hands of anyone that they do not like.
