I believe it is not a reflection on the Catholic Church as a whole - only on this individual priest. Surely, the Catholic Church does not sanction his behavior, in fact, they are to be applauded for acting swiftly to deal with this situation. The priest in question is 89 years old. Clearly, the man should retire.
