When I look at the outside of the “Red Hen”. I see a very small restaurant. It is owned by someone related to Meryl Streep, which is odd. Small restaurants have paper thin margins, so why is it not concerned with bottom lines? Is it getting preferential tax considerations? Is Meryl Streep involved with it’s finances? Is she getting some tax special treatment? Remember, a significant part of Hollywood uses charities to finance relatives and gets the tax benefits out of out. Kind of takes the charity out of charity...
It would seem that as president of Main Street Lexington she has basically declared a civil war on conservatives on behalf of Lexington. Personally, if I were in the area, I would not do any business in the town as long as the town supports her.
