The leeks and jalapenos have sprouted overnight.

Tomorrow and Sunday I shall be re-planting them apart from each other.

The okra and butternut squash grow like weeds! What I didn’t know is that if okra is left to its own devices and not cut or trimmed can grow to 10 feet and look more like a tree!

Sounds like things are going quite well with the garden.

A friend of Hubby’s used to rent a little of our farm to grow veggies to sell at the store he owned. He didn’t grow butternut squash but had other varieties. They all grew like weeds.
And his okra was tall.

Just be sure to cover every inch of your body when you pick the okra or you will be one massive ITCH from the hairs. NOT fun at all!
