The FBI was also dishonest with the IG, whose office released a 568-page report on the bureau’s handling of the Clinton matter. He said the FBI’s reasons for redacting the names of two anonymous FBI employees identified in the report were based on the false premise that they were working in the counterintelligence division of the bureau. This was an out and out lie.

Wouldn’t Flynn have to withdraw his plea?

The charges of altered 302s are at least 3 months old.

I don’t have a record of who made the charge or where it was reported, but the memory is quite clear.

Meadows was questioning Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, saying “there is growing evidence that 302s [FBI interview reports] were edited and changed. Those 302s, it is suggested that they were changed to either prosecute or not prosecute individuals. And that is very troubling.”

I’d say it much more than troubling....what is an IG for anyway??? Just another Government employee sucking the life from real Americans.

I’m surprised more people, particularly in Congress, aren’t concerned that America’s national police force attempted a coup.

Oh well, bread, circuses and all that.

Reality is not “may have manipulated”.

It’s “falsified the f*** out of every goddamn thing in it”.

...Those 302s, it is suggested that they were changed to either prosecute or not prosecute individuals. And that is very troubling...

This is tampering with evidence. But, when the FBI does it, or if a former attorney general was charged with Contempt of Congress, or if the heirarchy of the FBI is accused of being in Contempt of Congress and is corrupt, so what? The DOJ has to prosecute and get a conviction. And they refuse to do it.
They would have been hanged at the corner of 12th and K a couple of centuries ago. What happened to justice?

Cut their funding for starters.

Then, indictments.

I guess they figured since they got away with it once with the TWA800 witnesses, why not try it again?

I posted yesterday, Horowitz was misleading when he drew a line between agent bias and prosecutor lack of bias. He basically claimed that the prosecutor decision to not charge Clinton was not affected by agent bias because they based their decision on the facts.

This is clearly nonsense because the agent bias caused them to cherry-pick the facts that were presented to the lawyers, and tamper with witness statements. The prosecutor decisions were biased by incomplete and falsified information supplied to them by the FBI.

The term is not “edited”, it’s “falsified evidence”. It’s a crime. For everyone else.

We need a special counsel to investigate the FBI, then a special counsel to investigate the special counsel. Maybe Joe Stalin had it right: there might only be one way to purge corruption.
