Exactly. The Supreme Court has, by judicial decree, created an obligation that did not previously exist. Now, a merchant in one state is obligated to collect tax for some other state. And, what if he doesn't do it or gets it wrong? Does this other state now have to right to go after the merchant?
Nothing in this benefits the merchants or shoppers. It only benefits the governments.
