Dear Jennifer Murphy,
I need to be better informed on the issue of humane and just border security and the protection of children. I have been prayerfully following this Border Crisis issue day by day.
I clearly need a more adequate understanding. Perhaps you could clear up some questions which have been on my mind, and the minds of others as well.
1) Wasn't there a ruling in Federal Court some 20+ years ago (the Flores Settlement) --- and some subsequent rulings ---which held that it is illegal and dangerous to put children in detention with adults?
2) Aren't there a number of safety reasons why vulnerable minors should not be detained with adults?
Kids have been found not to be the children of the adults they traveled with.
3) If this is true, then in the light of these realities, shouldn't we give credit to the Federal Court for attempting to safeguard these children from adult exploitation, and guarantee that they are returned safely home to their actual families (and not child traffickers)?
I believe this is why the Bush and Obama Administration ALSO cared for children in separate detention facilities.
4) If this is false, then shouldn't we have condemned the Bush and Obama Administration which ALSO, since at least 1997, have complied with Flores and similar rulings, and kept children and adults separate while in detention?
5) What is the solution? Is the preferred policy "Catch and Release"? How are we ascertaining that these kids are with their actual parents, and that the kids AND their parents are not being exploited by criminals?
Don't we have a moral obligation to keep them out of harm's way?
Did TNCPPC take a stand on child protection and the safe separate detention of minors at any time in the past 20+ years, before now?
Thank you for caring. Please understand my need to get a good, unbiased perspective on these issues.
I respect your conscientious involvement in child protection, border security, and family unity issues.
In Christ our Lord,

P.S. If I am badly misinformed, please educate me so I can advocate from a more just and compassionate perspective.
That's why I want to rescue the kids from the SJW's.
For Christ's sake.

like i said- the narrative is set in stone now- fight it if you wish- you will not change the narrative- The Left won on this one in the court of world opinion- It’s done- Like the poster said above- there comes a time when all we’re doing is tilting at windmills- If you think you can change the west hating world’s perception of Trump- good luck to you. The best we can do at this point is win smaller battles for the minds of the remaining few independents who still have a modicum of common sense and reason who can be convinced that this was not infact trump’s policy- and that children were treated with care and provisions as best we could considering the rock and hardplace setting which these illegal invaders have put us in
CPR only works when something is alive.
Let me make it easier.
IF you are talking about trying to convince the Catholic institution to take more responsibility by housing kids who’s parents are being prosecuted for illegal entry- then yes- I agree- keep fighting for that battle- but I believe we are overly hopeful if we think our efforts can overcome Satan’s world of hate and the world’s contempt for President Trump, and their lie that he is responsible for ‘traumatizing the kids’- That is the ‘New Truth’ as dictated by Satan’s little helpers worldwide-
Again- if the letter is to get the church to step up and take a role in housing and providing for the kids- then that is a reasonable goal I think. But the battle to stop the lies the left just perpetrated on the world concerning this issue is over- We must brace ourselves for the next ‘outrage’ ‘crisis’ they invent-

That is incorrect. CPR is only applied after the person is dead. One does not apply CPR to a patient with a heartbeat.
Please ... find a CPR course at your place of employment, your church, your local fire department, whatever ... learn and get yourself certified.
So far, the Church has buried all Her undertakers.
Mainly slaughtered them - men women and children.
They were dead before they that.

If your brain is active, you are not dead.
Just go away!
I just sent one.
Good job!
This is the place to start by unmasking the corruption for financial gain occurring in all denominations.
But have a nice day.
Rather than reprint her answer, most of which was boilerplate not directly addressing my questions, let me post my follow-up email to her.
Dear Jennifer,
Thank you so much for your quick and detailed response. Permit me to quote some of your statements, together with my questions:
"I dont think those seeking asylum should be grouped with trafficking for labor or sex."
The traffickers know their way in and out of the system. And they can lie convincingly. There's nothing to stop them from claiming their clients or victims are seeking asylum. The victims themselves may indeed be seeking asylum, but may not (yet) know they are in the hands of traffickers.
How do you separate the traffickers from the clients/victims they are traveling with, without detaining them until their I.D. can be verified?
"Those that do that dont usually present themselves as persons seeking safety from their own government."
As I understand it, the border-crossers are often coached by the coyotes-smugglers with the right kind of cover stories. Once again, detention and verification of their I.D. would be needed. And if detention is needed, wouldn't the minors need to be separated from the (as-yet unidentified) adults they're traveling with, for their own protection?
These families are leaving their country because of the gangs.
And as we know, the gangs are crossing the border, too. What would stop them? The MS-13 alone, numbering about 10,000 in the U.S., have strongholds in Compton, Los Angeles, Fresno, Santa Cruz (CA) as well as Boston MA, Long Island NY, Langley Park and Tacoma Park MD. They recruit by threatening and terrorizing adolescent asylum-seekers.
While here in the U.S., MS-13 partners with other U.S. Latino gang allies like the Sinaloa Cartel, Los Zetas, etc. They also get into gang wars HERE IN THE U.S. with their rivals the Bloods, the Crips, the Juarez Cartel, etc.
They cross the border with the asylum seekers.
How can you sort them out or stop them without detention?
How can you keep them away from their asylum-seeking victims, without safe detention?
How do you keep the children safe in detention, without separating the children from the unidentified adults, some of who may be falsely claiming to be their parents, family members or relatives??
Thank you for your consideration of these important questions.
Sincerely,
[Signed]

Sorry. Whine on.
“Send an email! Be polite!”
It is long past time for decent people to wake up and realize that when dealing with scumbags, civility is nothing but a self-imposed handicap.
I’m with you. We keep thinking if we behave like Cary Grant in It Takes a Thief, the Left will just succumb to our devilish charm.
It doesn’t work like that. Sadly.
If there is a crises in Central and South America from which these people are escaping, shouldn’t the United Nations look into it and put troops in these dangerous countries, so the citizens can live safely and not have to seek asylum in the U.S. or elsewhere? Of course, this might be the case...
