Fox News host Juan Williams was shredded when he could not bring himself to denounce Peter Fonda’s vulgar attack on President Trump’s young son, calling the tweets “poorly worded” instead.
Williams downplayed the tweets by the Academy Award-nominated actor and filmmaker despite the fact that his threats prompted first lady Melania Trump to alert the Secret Service. Fox News’ Gregg Gutfeld assumed Williams would feel simarily about Fonda’s “disgusting” rant, but his response caused a major backlash from “The Five” co-hosts on Wednesday.
In a series of tweets posted Wednesday, Fonda called for Barron Trump to be placed in a cage with pedophiles, urged protesters to surround Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents while they pick up their children from school and called for Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen to be caged, “pilloried” and “whipped.”
“I’m not going to ask you to defend this, I know you found this disgusting,” Gutfeld said to his liberal cohort.
Williams reply was surprising, to say the least.
“No, to me it was a poorly worded tweet, offensive language used,” Williams said. “But what strikes me from this very conversation is that you guys delight in it because it takes away from the conversation focusing on what President Trump did which is antithetical to American values.”
Co-host, Kimberly Guilfoyle erupted at Williams’ remarks, interjecting when he accused the panel of taking “delight” in Fonda’s attack.
“That’s not poorly worded,” Guilfoyle shot back.
‘What Peter Fonda did was indefensible.,” she said, adding that it was a “criminal sexual act by a sexual predator against a child. That’s not poorly worded.”

Juan Williams has just crossed the line into demented.
He was unwatchable before, but this?...
Wow, that’s just bizarre; Williams is getting more blind by the second.
Progressivism by design was antiethical to the American values our Constitution was written by.
Open borders are just a symptom of that.

For a while, Juan was nauseatingly liberal, but occasionally made arguments that at least sounded reasonable. Lately, he had become ridiculous.
So ridiculous, in fact, that they had Donna Brazile sit in for him on The Five. Donna? That unethical (but actually rather clever) “Water Buffalo?” The one who gave Hillary the quiz questions, only to be abused by her when some interview, maybe the Matt Lauer one, didn’t go exactly as scripted?
Yes, that Donna. I think she’s trying to rehabilitate herself as a liberal voice of reason for the upcoming 2020 Dem nomination death-match.
I always am curious to see if there is ever a point at which Juan will stop going through painful mental contortions to defend the vile left. So far, he’s got a perfect record....I hate to see how evil it would have to be for Juan to condemn.

He is concerned that ‘pedophiles’ has negative connotations. Fonda should have use a term that accurately reflects those good people who enjoy sex with children. /sarc
After the PBS fiasco you would think that he would be more even handed. He wrote a book condemning the race hustlers, naming names. Probably a wink wink setup.

I was watching this yesterday until they threw the issue to williams, I had a good idea of what he was gonna say so I saved myself the anguish and just changed the channel.

Whenever Juan Williams is speaking on Fox I just press that wonderful invention called the mute button.

I can’t watch or listen to this crap anymore. We have a president with nerves of steel to put up with this and not cave in.
