You're right. It's not hard to create 'safe places' far from our borders. Venezuela is broke - they'd be willing to lease us a large safe space to house illegals who's home counties won't lease us space.
The United States can protect illegals just as easily in their home countries as here... AND if they 'feel' safe we can release them into their home countries and give them a 'court date' at the Embassy. They can come back to the Embassy when we determine if they're to be accepted or not...
I suspect a higher percentage will show up than show up here in the United States.
People who are afraid can stay at the center - a large guarded space - until we rule on acceptance.
