The friendly neighborhood meteorologist found in a 2010 poll to be more skeptical than the general public about global warming has rapidly evolved to not only accept climate change but to share the news with audiences in hundreds of U.S. television markets.

They can’t get it right a week from now but they know what will happen ten years from now.
Brilliant! ;-)
Sounds like they have weeded out the legitimate and honest meteorologists and replaced them with hacks who will assist with the brainwashing.
I live in Central NY State, and couldn’t believe the other day that the local channel had broadcast a US Weather Service alert about the heat. I’m 70, and have never seen a notice about the heat in all the years they’ve been running their stupid banners across the TV screen. I hate their alerts, because even though I record every program I watch, the damn alerts still appear on the screen, even though 24 or more hours has already passed since it originally aired. The other thing that ticks me off about them is that 75% of the time, the alerts aren’t even for the county I live in (Oneida), but are for counties south or east of me. The heat alert the other day didn’t even include my county. I wish there was a way to shut them off.
They are careerists who toe the party line, for the most part.
They say what they are told to say.
Then they try to live with it as best they can.
Related: Can anyone recommend a good weather app? I used to use the Weather Underground since it seemed to be the most detailed. Then I noticed on their website that it’s a full blown fever swamp of AGW cultists. Now, I use AccuWeather, but even they have a “climate” section peddling this gutter religion, though it’s somewhat less intrusive. Can anyone recommend an app that I can use with a cleaner conscience?
Some things I’ve noticed with our local TV weather:
1. The temperature charts show the 60 and 70 degree ranges as ‘hot’.
2. In the summer the weather for next week is always 2-3 degrees warmer than it ends up as and they adjust the prediction down as a particular day draws nearer.
3. Normal weather events are presented with an air of anxiety and dread as if we’ve never before seen snow, rain, thunder, clouds, or fog in northern Wyoming.
4. Every pathetic drop of rain is breathlessly reported with a big “STORM WATCH” announcement. It’s the point that unless we hear the National Weather Service alert we pay them no mind.
We have the same thing here in Minneapolis-St Paul when the local TV weather people and newscasters start hyping up a major winter storm of borderline biblical proportions - and then it fizzles.
It’s called “Snowpocalypse” or “Snowmageddon”.
After the various weather services and agencies missed the call on the Joplin, Mo. tornado back in 2011, the talking weather heads seem to issue "alerts" even if there is a hint of a weather situation. I guess CYA and liability are great motivators.
One I have on my phone is WTF weather. It has a crude forecast but you can opt for an extremely crude and profane forecast. Since I live in the Phoenix Valley now I can send my forecast to my adult son who introduced me to this app.
I also like one called Hi-Deff Radar App which links to NOAA info.
Everyone has their price.
Its very obvious why the sane half of the country dont watch these Leftist Shills any more .....
you have to love the photo used at the top of the article as illustration of global warming!
