I had forgotten Laura’s role in the Harriet Miers insanity:

On the same program, first lady Laura Bush was asked if she shared her husband’s conviction. “Absolutely. Absolutely,” she said.
“She’s very deliberate and thoughtful and will bring dignity to wherever she goes, but certainly to the Supreme Court. She’ll be really excellent,” Mrs. Bush said.
Asked if she believed some of the criticism reflected possible sexism, she responded: “I think that’s possible.”

Yeah Laura. We didn’t oppose Miers because she was a hack judge and family friend of yours. We did it because conservatives are a bunch of sexist pigs!
Weelll now, how about Justice Sam Alito? Clarence Thomas? Both Bush presidents put them on the court! Yeah I know people got upset with Justice Roberts, for the Obama-care thing. However, Roberts has sided with the other conservatives in many other rulings, hasn’t he?
