Fake news. President Trump just directed the DoD to begin the planning for a U.S. Space Command a couple of days ago. There’s no way they’ve already identified the ranks and created an insignia. The way the Department of Defense (and government in general) operates, designing and approving the insignia is at least a two year, full time project costing a couple of million dollars.
Has anyone noticed there’s already a Space Command?
Presumably, the push is on to make it independent of the USAF.
