Director: FBI won’t repeat mistakes noted in watchdog report

The FBI is determined to not repeat any of the mistakes identified in a harshly critical watchdog report on the handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, Director Chris Wray said Monday at a congressional hearing at which he repeatedly sought to distance himself from his predecessor.

Wray told lawmakers that the FBI accepted the findings of the inspector general’s report and has begun making changes, including about how it handles especially sensitive investigations. The FBI is also reinforcing through employee training the need to avoid the appearance of political bias, a key point of criticism in last week’s report, and has referred employees singled out by the watchdog to the agency’s investigative arm for possible discipline.

The report “makes clear that we have significant work to do, and as I said, we’re going to learn from the report and be better as a result,” Wray said, even as Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee pounced on its findings to allege rampant bias within the FBI.

The department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, appeared alongside Wray and repeated the report’s central conclusions that the Clinton investigation was plagued by leadership missteps though its outcome was not tainted by political bias.

They’re not “mistakes”. And promising not to do something ever again is not dealing with what’s already been done.

Succinct. They will simply make new “mistakes” and the recycling and lying will continue. Promises are made to be broken and often are. Drain the swamp of this corrupted, leftist dominated govt bureaucracy bent on destroying the elected president of the USA. That being President Donald J. Trump.

Doesn’t matter what Wray does or doesn’t do, I no longer trust the FBI.

My trust of the DOJ and FBI ended in 1992.

And the intervening years gave proof to my position.

Bank robbers, rapists and mass murderers ALSO said they won't repeat their mistakes... they want a pass too.

When asked what 'mistakes' they wouldn't repeat they said, "Whatever the hell you people are complaining about"...

EFF the FBI

Wray said in his prior statement that there’s nothing wrong with the rank-and-file FBI, and the problem (which “doesn’t exist”) will be cured by subjecting every FBI employee to bias sensitivity training.

As Rush pointed out, the symbol of the Department of Justice is a blindfolded (hence unbiased) woman holding a scale. Anyone who works in DoJ (including the FBI) who would not be insulted by “bias sensitivity training” does not belong in the DoJ.

No one in the DoJ who needs “bias sensitivity training” would be so easily cured of bias. Their reputation is ruined. In fact, the best recommendation for an FBI agent in this regard is having resigned from the FBI in protest when this scandal was ongoing.

The comments are eye opening, especially considering they are from a Huffpost writer article published on yahoo.com

Director:

“FBI won’t repeat mistakes noted in watchdog report.”

As he repeated the mistakes of his predecessors by covering up for the criminals in the FBI.
