It’s already been said several times what will be done.
The children will be reunited with their parents (if they are indeed parents) when the deportation orders are signed. The entire family can then return to their home country or place of origin outside the US.
The President is right, the law requires that illegals be given a hearing and that they be released pending the hearing (catch & release). This must be changed.
The official policy is that children of illegals must be detained because the US government cannot take liability should the children be endangered if the children have disappeared with adult handlers pending a court hearing.
To be clear, when a person breaks a law, is arrested, and is released on their own recognizance, law enforcement must detain the children to prevent possible child endangerment. Otherwise, if the children were to starve, be hurt, disappear, the US government agency in charge could be held to account.
As it is now, those children are in clean and healthy facilities with plenty of monitoring, plenty of toys, movies, games, entertainment. They are safe and they are kept busy.
Right now there are millions of US kids at summer camps away from their parents. The children of illegals are in similar conditions. The children are not abused, they are not traumatized, They are told their parents are coming back by a certain date.
Thank you.
I did not make myself clear. I agree with all you said but I was asking if any one of those screeching about the inhumanity of separating the children from their (alleged) parents are offering suggestions as to how they believe it should be handled?
