Sorry, FRiend... I didn't mean to abruptly leave this thread yesterday without answering your questions. Unfortunately I have to run to an appointment now, but I'll quickly answer your questions...

Yes, that's the type of gallbladder surgery I had in 2014. I had that "non-invasive" GB removal surgery in the morning, and went home the same day. The pain was about as I expected (not the worst pain I've ever experienced by any means).

I remember feeling quite a bit better each day. Back to about 100% within a week to 10 days.

My sister just had the same surgery on Saturday, June 9th, but she had much bigger gallstones than I had (plus other minor complications), so she had to stay in the hospital a few days. She was given the same pain meds after surgery.

My sister and I would describe the post-op pain as "sore", not a #10 pain on a pain scale between 1 and 10.

My sister went back to work on June 18th. She's doing great now.
