All congress has to do is say the documents will be on their desk or the DOJ budget will be cut by 10% and it will be cut another 10% per day until it’s received.
Absolutely right. A budget evaporating by the day will get their attention. Nothing else seems to.
If they can pass that, then they could also pass legislation abolishing civil service protection for DOJ and FBI employees, and give the president the authority to fire any or all of them.
Then Trump could just perform a decimation. “All employees whose social security number ends in 5 are hereby terminated”.
